The tournament, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand, was one of the most attended women’s sporting events in history. Ticket sales for the games passed the one million mark in June and one stadium in Sydney had to be changed to accommodate 80,000 supporters.

The competition ran for five weeks with 64 games starting Thursday 20 July 2023.

Optus Sport, the licensed broadcaster of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023TM, provided B Radio Network updates with highlights, studio commentary, content review of the day before and content preview of the matches to come that day and integrate with podcasts from our Sports Radio Network.
